The First Sichuan and Chongqing Housing and Urban-rural Construction Expo Held in Chengdu

To thoroughly implement the national strategy for the construction of Chengdu-Chongqing economic zone and put the cooperation between Sichuan and Chongqing in housing and urban-rural construction into effect, the first Sichuan-Chongqing Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Expo (referred to as the first Sichuan-Chongqing Housing Expo) was opened at the Chengdu Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Center on June 23. Cao Lijun, Vice-Governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, and Chen Yuanchun, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Chongqing People's Congress, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. The leaders of Chongqing Qijiang District were invited to participate. Wu Daqian, Director of Qijiang Housing and Urban-Rural Development Committee, led the delegation and Yin Liping, Vice President of the Group, accompanied the exhibitor. On the afternoon of 23 June, Qiao Mingjia, Director of Chongqing Housing and Construction Committee, visited the pavilion in Qijiang.

The first Sichuan-Chongqing Housing and Urban-Rural Development Expo was co-hosted by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Chongqing Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Committee for three days, attracting 8 countries and regions from the UK, Italy, and Singapore, 40 cities (states) and districts (counties) such as Chengdu, Zigong, Hechuan and Wanzhou, and nearly 300 industry-leading enterprises to participate in the exhibition. The exhibition area covers 48,000 square metres and is divided into four pavilions, with six exhibition zones: Sichuan-Chongqing Regional Cooperation Demonstration, a Livable Place for high-quality life Construction, Green Ecological Development, the New Construction Industrialization and Intelligent Construction, the Urban Construction and Smart City, and the Modern Better Living and Smart Home.

The projects exhibited from each city combined with their own regional characteristics to fully demonstrate intelligent and livable living, with innovative and chic designs, which attracted the visitors to stop and enjoy. When passing through Chongqing Qijiang Zone, which is famous as the national historical town, dinosaur fossil park, and the most beautiful countryside and many other honors, the delegates were attracted by the “back garden” of Chongqing, which is full of beautiful scenery, have fully affirmed the convenient transportation, livable environment and development prospects of Qijiang.

It is reported that during the same period of the first Sichuan and Chongqing Housing Expo, the Sichuan and Chongqing Summit Forum on the Construction of High Quality Living Places, the International Forum on Cooperation in Urban and Rural Construction Development, the Sichuan and Chongqing Forum on the Protection and Development of Ancient Towns and Villages, the Sichuan and Chongqing Summit Forum on the Modernization of the Construction Industry, the Sichuan and Chongqing High-end Forum on the Development of prefabricated buildings and other related meetings and forums will also be held simultaneously.
